## Data and reconciliation

- Export chart of accounts.
- Export customers, vendors, products, and tax rates.
- Document current bank-feed rules.
- Identify settlement deposits that do not reconcile cleanly.
- List manual spreadsheet adjustments.
- Decide whether you need transaction-level sync or settlement summaries.

Score each vendor on:

## Cutover plan

1. Choose a clean cutover month.
2. Back up current accounting data.
3. Configure mappings in a test workflow where possible.
4. Reconcile one historical period before go-live.
5. Document exceptions and manual steps.
6. Train the finance owner and backup owner.
7. Review the first two closes in detail.

## Questions for vendors

- Which channels are supported on our plan?
- Are historical imports included?
- Can mappings be reviewed before posting?
- What happens if a settlement changes after import?
- How are refunds, chargebacks, taxes, and gift cards handled?
- Can our accountant access the setup?
